Welcome to the program 'Basics and history.' Even though photography is a rather young medium it has come a long way. From Niepce to digital photography in less than 200 years - wow!

We want to cover some of the developments that brought us to where we are today. And we'll also look at the basics which haven't really changed - like image composition.

Remember: No matter what technology you use, a good image starts in your head and great photographers have produced great images with the technologies of their times!
